The Cebu Island Artists Network aspires to link together various art groups, initiatives, and spaces in towns and cities around the island of Cebu. It recognizes the rich creative practices of Cebuano artists dispersed throughout the island and identifies the broad potential these could bring to the cultural and social advancement and economic development of Cebu and the rest of the Visayas.
The network formed by artists for artists aims to create sustainable programs and spaces that facilitate innovative artistic expressions and cultivate an inclusive community guided by a strong concern for social and cultural transformation.
This newly formed organization is initiated by the Office for the Initiatives in Culture and the Arts of the University of the Philippines Cebu.
